Omo Beeza runs programmes for children in Jinka and the South Omo Zone. Their new site tells that story in English and Amharic, with programmes, stories, careers, donations and a blog.

The problem

The ministry's original site was a static HTML template that only a developer could update and that did not match its brand kit.

What I built

A Next.js App Router rebuild with locale-prefixed routes, every piece of copy in translation files, and blog posts written in MDX with one file per language.

Results

  • Staff add blog posts in both languages without touching components.

  • Ethiopic typography with Noto Sans Ethiopic
